Travel Soccer Boys and Girls Born 2016 or older |
After completing our developmentally appropriate, player development pathway, we begin to form age specific, competitive teams at 8 years old (U9). These teams are entered into the Long Island Junior Soccer League (www.lijsoccer.com) and compete against other towns and communities initially in Suffolk County, and eventually all over Long Island. The primary travel seasons run between 10 and 12 inconsecutive weeks during the spring and fall seasons, however soccer is very quickly becoming a year round sport and we ask our players to be prepared for this. Each team is also expected to attend a pre-season summer camp, and where possible practice during the winter months. All team rosters are selected via a tryout in Mid-June and tryout information is emailed out on a regular basis. Although primarily trainer managed, each also team requires a parent administrator, and in some cases an assistant. These are volunteer positions with the primary focus on the administrative details of the team. For more information on becoming a volunteer parent administrator, please reach out to the club Executive Director. |
Uniforms: All travel players must purchase home and away kits.
